angle-left 25.000 people enjoy illumination of Passion façade

25.000 people saw this year's illumination of the Passion façade that the Sagrada Família offered on 15, 16 and 17 April for Easter. The audience got to enjoy the illumination of this façade, which was accompanied by music and narration. There were two sessions each day.

On the Passion façade, the star of the liturgical season of Eastertide, Gaudí wanted to express the final hours of Jesus, which sculptor Josep Maria Subirachs brought to life in twelve sculpture groups. The illumination of the façade reminds viewers of these scenes that tell the story of the Passion and death of Jesus Christ.

As part of the Easter celebrations at the Sagrada Família, on top of these sessions, the Basilica also offered other activities, including the Easter concert on 6 April, Palm Sunday Mass on 14 April, and the family workshop, where kids decorated Easter eggs.
