angle-left Sagrada Família to take part in Barcelona Architecture Week

From 6 to 16 May, Barcelona will be hosting its Architecture Week. For this event, the Sagrada Família will be offering guided tours of the area just above the great upper portico on the Passion façade, called the garden.

There will be six tours on 12 May between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm, in groups of eight. So participants can learn more about the project, the tours will be guided by the Basilica’s team of architects.

This event is promoted by the Barcelona City Council, Architects’ Association of Catalonia (COAC) and Fundació Mies van der Rohe. In collaboration with Barcelona Building Construmat and ARQUIN-FAD, they are hosting several activities related to the world of architecture: online conferences and webinars, debates, tours of various spaces in the city, workshops, film and documentary screenings, readings and concerts.

The visit to the Sagrada Família garden is organised by the 48h Open House Barcelona cultural association, which aims to promote architecture as an essential part of culture. This year, Sagrada Família will be part of the “Hidden Spaces” project, which will visit one of the city’s hidden spaces each day.

The tours are open to all and registration is open from 29 April at 12 noon here.
