angle-left Sagrada Família lit up in red to raise awareness of Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy

The Sagrada Família Nativity façade was illuminated yesterday evening in red for World Duchenne Awareness Day. This initiative aims to raise awareness of this neuromuscular disease that causes muscles to progressively atrophy. An estimated 20,000 new cases are diagnosed each year around the world.

Other emblematic buildings like Torre Glòries and Cibeles Fountain in Madrid also joined the initiative organised by Duchenne Parent Project Spain, a non-profit association that is working to find a cure and improve quality of life for patients and their families.
