angle-left Sagrada Família invites you to feel the spirit of Christmas

Now that Advent is here, which prepares us for Christmas, the Sagrada Família is announcing the events it is hosting so everyone can get into the spirit and celebrate the birth of Jesus. These include family workshops, religious celebrations and cultural events, like the concert and illumination of the Nativity façade.

The family workshop started on 30 November and will run through 5 January. It includes a tour that focuses especially on the Nativity façade, a discovery activity and a workshop to make something to go on the Christmas tree. Additionally, the Nativity façade will be illuminated on 19, 20, 21 and 22 December, invoking the historical arrival of the son of God by lighting the scenes on this façade with music and narration. This event is free.

Also, on 24 December, the Sagrada Família is holding Midnight mass celebrating the birth of Jesus, at 7:00 pm, so children and families can take part. There is no charge for attending mass but capacity is limited.

And finally, on 30 November the Basilica hosted its concert celebrating that the Christmas season is approaching. It featured the National Classical Orchestra of Andorra (ONCA) and the Cor de Cambra of the Palau de la Música Catalana, both led by Lleida-born conductor Xavier Puig with Andorra-born violinist Gerard Claret as concertmaster.
