angle-left Final piece before the star

Today the upper third of the shaft of the tower of the Virgin Mary was put in place, a piece that ends in three arms that hold up the star. The piece is covered with blue trencadís mosaic, slowly turning white at the top.

The shaft is the middle part of the pinnacle of the tower of the Virgin Mary and is 18 metres tall. It starts from six legs at the bottom and ends in three arms that hold up the luminous star.

In April 2021, the formwork and reinforcement for the lower third of the shaft was put in place, a piece measuring 10.8 metres tall. With the upper third of the tower of the Virgin Mary put in place, the tower reaches 134 metres.

It is aimed to complete the tower of the Virgin Mary in December, which will be the first of six central towers to be completed. This historical moment will be celebrated across the city.
