Sagrada Família opens its doors for La Mercè

Today marks the beginning of the Sagrada Família Open Doors Days, coinciding like every year with the La Mercè festivities.

This time, 20,000 people will get to visit the Basilica for free thanks to the ticket draw held on 15 September that more than 97,000 people entered.

These days, winners will get to visit the Basilica and discover a relief of one of the scenes from the Virgin Mary’s life: The Wedding at Cana, a three-metre-high stone piece. This scene will be part of the Chapel of the Assumption, which will also feature the presentation of Mary in the temple, the death of Saint Joseph and the dormition.
