On 12 March at 6:00 pm, the Sagrada Família hosted an event celebrating the conversion of St. Ignatius: Ignatius 500. Cardinal Joan Josep Omella i Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona, led the mass.

From 20 May 2021 to July 2022, around the world, the Society of Jesus is celebrating the 500th anniversary of Ignatius of Loyola’s conversion, an Ignatian year with the tag Ignatius 500.

This was one of the main events for all the members of the Society of Jesus in Catalonia, commemorating the 500th anniversary of Ignatius of Loyola’s conversion and the 400th anniversary of his canonisation. It featured a participative choir with 500 voices from all over.
