"Sent la Creu" mass at Sagrada Família - "Sent la Creu" mass at Sagrada Família

On 6 March at 6 pm, the Sagrada Família hosted the Philippines “Sent la Creu” mass to kick off Lent with the younger members of the Barcelona diocese.

This was the sixth year of this event, which featured a Cross vigil followed by mass led by Cardinal Joan Josep Omella i Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona.

This year’s guest was Cardinal Tagle, prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, president of Caritas International and Archbishop Emeritus of Manila (Philippines).

The Basilica hosted this event previously in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
