The Sagrada Família hosted liturgical celebrations during Easter. Palm Sunday and the Easter Triduum took place with the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Maundy Thursday, the celebration of the Passion of the Lord and Via Crucis on Good Friday and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.
10 APRIL - PALM SUNDAY
12 noon - Solemn mass with blessing of the palm fronds
Mons. Sergi Gordo, auxiliary bishop of Barcelona, officiated the mass.
Beforehand, at approximately 12:15 pm, the blessing of the palm fronds took place outside the Temple.
14 APRIL - MAUNDY THURSDAY
8:00 pm - Mass of the Lord's Supper
There was a mass celebrating the Lord's Last Supper, officiated by Mons. Javier Vilanova, auxiliary bishop of Barcelona.
After mass, the Holy Sacrament was transferred in procession to the crypt for the adoration of the faithful.
The crypt remained open until 11 pm.
15 April - GOOD FRIDAY
Prayer in front of the monument
The crypt remained open from 9 am to 6 pm for the faithful who wished to pray before the Holy Sacrament.
6:30 pm - Celebration of the Lord's death
Celebration of the Lord's death and veneration of the cross. It was officiated by Mons. Javier Vilanova, auxiliary bishop of Barcelona.
9:00 pm - Via Crucis on the Passion façade
Via Crucis prayer in front of the Passion façade, officiated by Mons. Javier Vilanova, auxiliary bishop of Barcelona.
16 APRIL - EASTER VIGIL
9:00 pm - Solemn celebration of the Easter Vigil
Celebration of the Easter Vigil Mass. Officiated this year by Mons. Sergi Gordo, auxiliary bishop of Barcelona.
