angle-left Sagrada Família Social Action Fund selects 163 projects in 2026 call

The Sagrada Família has resolved the fourth Social Action Fund (SAF) call for proposals, selecting 163 projects from social organisations in 2026. A total of €4.7 million has been earmarked for this call, consolidating the Temple’s commitment to organisations working to address the needs of the most vulnerable in the Archdiocese of Barcelona and the Dioceses of Terrassa and Sant Feliu de Llobregat.

Compared to the 2025 call, when 133 projects were selected, this edition awarded grants to 30 more, a 22.6% increase.

The projects selected are working in one of five areas of application. The majority, 52 projects, are related to poverty and social exclusion. This area is followed by health and well-being with 39 projects and childhood, adolescence and youth with 29. There were 25 projects related to the elderly selected and 18 projects focusing on migration and refugees.

Through these five lines, SAF supports initiatives that tackle diverse social needs and help make life better and support the most vulnerable. The Social Action Fund connects with the desires of the founders of the Sagrada Família, who conceived the Temple as a work to “exalt the faith and embrace charity”.
