The Junta Constructora de la Sagrada Família would like to express its gratitude to Pope Leo XIV for accepting the invitation to visit the Basilica. The Pontiff has confirmed he will attend the central event commemorating the hundredth anniversary of Antoni Gaudí’s death, in June 2026.

In 1982, Pope John Paul II visited the Temple on his first official trip to Spain. In 2010, Pope Benedict XVI led the ceremony to consecrate the Sagrada Família, opening it for religious events.
