On 17 February 2024, the Holy Father received the members of the Board of Trustees of the Junta Constructora del Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família Foundation, Auxiliary Bishops of the Barcelona Archdiocese, Rector of the Basilica of the Sagrada Família and executive team of the Junta Constructora.

The Pope highlighted the significance of the architecture at the Sagrada Família, further noting, “It is important that the climate of prayer is not lost in temples.” He also invited the Basilica to welcome any pilgrims who approach in this year of preparation for the 2025 Jubilee.
