On Saturday, 12 September, the Nens del Vendrell took part in the international evening Mass at the Sagrada Família. Coinciding with the celebration of the casteller group's centenary, they built a 4 de 8 inside the basilica, in an event that brought together tradition, popular culture and spirituality in a unique setting.

Among those attending the celebration were Mr Esteve Camps, Delegated Chairman of the Foundation Board of the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Família, accompanied by members of the Board of Trustees; Mr Kenneth Martínez, Mayor of El Vendrell; Ms Sílvia Vaquero, Councillor for Culture of El Vendrell City Council; Ms Marta Ventura, Vice-President of the Provincial Council of Tarragona; Mr Quim Nin, Mayor of Albinyana; Ms Judith Vidal, Acting First Deputy Mayor of La Bisbal del Penedès; and Ms Montserrat Ventosa, Mayor of Llorenç del Penedès.

During the offertory, several children presented a neckerchief from the casteller group as a symbol of offering and gratitude. The performance forms part of the centenary celebrations of this casteller group, founded in 1926, a date that coincides with the centenary of the death of Antoni Gaudí.
