On 14 December at 6:30 pm, the Basilica hosted the awards ceremony for the school contest “We’re all towers of the same humanity”.
The event concluded the initiative organised by the Sagrada Família in collaboration with Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University, which invited Barcelona schools to create an audiovisual and narrative piece about the construction of the tower of the Virgin Mary.
Young people between 6 and 14 years old worked on their proposals throughout the first quarter of the school year, and 8 of their proposals were chosen as the winners.
The judges were experts in education, art and stakeholders in the Basilica of the Sagrada Família.
More than 1,200 students from schools all over the city took part, with students from primary through year 8 at public and private schools
