angle-left Registration is now open for the 2026 drawing contest «Paint the sky»

The Sagrada Familia is launching a new edition of its drawing competition, inviting participants to interpret, from their own perspective, the Tower of Jesus Christ, the highest point of the Basilica.

The competition will take place on 7 November, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Cloister of the Merce at the Sagrada Familia. During the event, participants will be able to observe the Basilica and its surroundings and freely choose the viewpoint and perspective from which to create their drawing, either from within the site or from the surrounding public spaces.

Registration is individual and free of charge and must be completed using the registration form provided below.

To participate:

  1. Complete the registration form with the requested information.
  2. Read and accept the competition’s legal terms and conditions and the corresponding documentation.
  3. If you are aged 16 or 17, you will need authorisation from your father, mother, guardian or legal representative to participate.
  4. Once your registration has been completed, you will receive all the information you need to prepare for the event.

There are 45 places available, divided into three age categories: 16-17, 18-21 and 22-25, with a maximum of 15 participants in each category. Places will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

What should you bring?
Each participant must bring their own drawing surface, which must be at least A3 size (29.7 x 42 cm) and no larger than 50 x 70 cm. The drawing surface must be stamped by the organisers before the activity begins.

Participants must also bring the materials they need to draw. Dry media such as pencil, charcoal, graphite, pastel and wax crayons are permitted, as well as watercolour, as it is a quick-drying technique.

How will the competition work?
The drawing must be created entirely during the competition and each participant may submit only one drawing.

The drawings will be assessed individually by the jury according to five criteria: representation of the Tower of Jesus Christ; coherence between the artistic expression and the subject observed; interpretation and ability to synthesise; composition and proportion; and expressiveness and artistic quality.

Prizes
There will be one prize and one runner-up award in each of the three age categories. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Important information before registering
Participation in the competition implies acceptance of its legal terms and conditions, as well as the conditions relating to data protection and the intellectual property rights of the drawings submitted. In the case of participants who are minors, acceptance must be provided by their legal representative.
