On Saturday, 18 April the presentation of the XII Congrés de Confraries de Setmana Santa de Catalunya took place in the Basilica’s cloister of La Mercè.
The welcome address was given by Mr. Esteve Camps, delegated president of the Sagrada Família’s Junta Constructora del Temple Expiatori. Next, Mr. Jaume Piñol de la Mata and Ms. Anna Sirolla, president and vice-president of the Agrupació d’Associacions de Setmana Santa de Reus, the organising entity of this year's congress, spoke. The event was moderated and concluded by Mr. Manuel Zamora, director of the Diocesan Secretariat of Brotherhoods and Confraternities of the Archdiocese of Barcelona.
Under the motto "The Passion that unites us", from 29 to 31 May, the event will bring together representatives of brotherhoods, fraternities and associations from all over Catalonia in Reus.
