angle-left Sagrada Família welcomes over 300 children for traditional Christmas carolling

On 19 December at 7:00 pm, this year’s traditional Christmas carolling featured more than 300 boys and girls from children’s choirs that belong to the Catalan Children’s Choir Federation.

The singers performed a concert in four parts, each related to a scene from the Nativity of Jesus. The chosen carols took the audience on a musical journey through the Annunciation, Nativity, Adoration and celebration of Christmas, including traditional Catalan carols such as Fum, fum, fum, El noi de la mare and El desembre congelat, among others.

This year, due to public works on Carrer de la Marina, the traditional Christmas carolling took place inside the Basilica, with the singers’ families in the audience.
