angle-left Winners of tickets to Barcelona Symphonic Band concert announced

Yesterday, the draw was held to give out 320 tickets for two to see the Barcelona Symphonic Band live in concert among the 42798 people who entered.

To share the completion of the four towers of the Evangelists with the people of Barcelona and the world, several events are scheduled for the month of November.

On Saturday, 4 November at 11:00 am, the Barcelona Symphonic Band will fill the Basilica with music, in its debut performance at the Sagrada Família. Anyone interested in attending was invited to enter using a form on the Sagrada Família website or social media through 26 October at 9:00 pm.

Led by head conductor José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana, the “Between heaven and earth” concert features a repertoire chosen for the occasion paying tribute to the symbiosis of nature, faith and art represented in the Sagrada Família.

The concert will include pieces like The Bells of Sagrada Familia by Japanese composer Satoshi Yagisawa, a musical allegory of Gaudí’s design; O magnum mysterium, by Morten Lauridsen, which they will dedicate to the Nativity façade; and David Maslanka’s Requiem, for the Passion façade. “Between heaven and earth” will be a musical tribute to the intention behind Gaudí’s architecture.
