Barcelona’s French-speaking community gathered on Saturday, 3 October, at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família for a Mass presided over by Cardinal Joan Josep Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona and ex officio President of the Board of Trustees of the Sagrada Família Expiatory Temple Foundation.
This annual gathering serves as an occasion for celebrating faith and fostering community, helping to strengthen the bonds among members of the French-speaking community while highlighting their cultural and spiritual traditions.
The Mass featured the participation of 150 singers, who provided the musical accompaniment for the celebration and helped create an atmosphere of prayer and fraternity.
The event also brought together institutional representatives, including Azar Agah-Ducrocq, Consul General of France in Barcelona, and Pierre-Emmanuel Brusselmans, Consul of Belgium in Barcelona.
Representing the Sagrada Família were Mr Pere Alegrí and Ms Laia Ros, members of the Board of Trustees of the Sagrada Família Expiatory Temple Foundation; Mr Xavier Martínez, General Director of the Foundation; and Mr Jordi Faulí, Chief Architect of the Sagrada Família.
