For Easter Week, the Sagrada Família has put together a programme of religious, cultural and popular events to share this liturgical season with the public. The programme will include the traditional family workshop and religious services for Palm Sunday, the Paschal Triduum and the Via Crucis. People will also get to enjoy special illuminations on the Passion façade.
Easter workshop inspired by the pinnacle of the cross on the tower of Jesus Christ
To share the meaning of Easter with the little ones, the Sagrada Família is hosting a workshop for families with children aged 6 to 12. The workshop will feature a special tour focusing on the Passion façade and have the children decorate a chocolate figure inspired by the pinnacle of the cross on the tower of Jesus Christ, in collaboration with Lluc Crusellas of Eukarya chocolates.
The Easter workshop will run from 21 March to 6 April.

Illumination of the Passion façade
On 29, 30 and 31 March, from 9:00 pm, the Passion façade will be lit up for all to see, in a unique musical light show narrating the Passion and death of Jesus Christ, with texts by Bishop Antoni Vadell, R.I.P. There will be two sessions a day, each lasting 25 minutes. Two screenings will take place: at 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., alternately in Catalan and Spanish. This activity is free and open to the public.
Religious celebrations
The Basilica will host the religious services for Palm Sunday mass on 29 March, led by Auxiliary Bishop Javier Vilanova; and the Paschal Triduum on 2, 3 and 4 April, led by Auxiliary Bishop David Abadías on 2 and 3 April and by Auxiliary Bishop Javier Vilanova on 4 April.
