The Basilica held the first session of theological conferences, inviting participants to reflect on the meaning of the Sagrada Família and on contemporary, spiritual issues from a Christian standpoint.

The first conference was given by Head Architect Dr Jordi Faulí, focusing on the architecture of the tower of Jesus Christ. This was followed by philosopher and theologian Dr Francesc Torralba, who discussed the trinitarian focus of the tower of Jesus Christ.

With this initiative, the Sagrada Família is reaffirming its desire to provide a place for training and reflection to help promote understanding of the symbolic and theological depth of Gaudí’s project.

The second session of conferences will take place on 12 February, featuring Dr Joan Torra and Dr Armand Puig.
