angle-left Sagrada Família shares the Passion and death of Jesus Christ through illumination of Passion façade

On 3 April, illuminations of the Passion façade kicked off and will be repeated on 4 and 5 April with two sessions each day. The lighting shares the story of the Passion and death of Jesus Christ through music and text written by Mons. Antoni Vadell i Ferrer. With this activity, the Sagrada Família is remembering the deceased priest who was Auxiliary Bishop of Barcelona from 2017 to 2022. The Illumination and art direction is by Fernando Rojo_dLight.

On 4 and 5 April, anyone interested can enjoy the illuminations for free on the grounds until capacity is reached or from the street. There will be two sessions each day: one at 8:45 pm, in Catalan, and the other at 9:30 pm, in Spanish.

This activity is one of many on the programme the Basilica is offering for Easter, from 26 March through 10 April 2023.
