On 21 November, the Macael Awards ceremony was held in Macael (Almeria), organised by the Andalusian Marble Business Association (AEMA). These awards recognise excellence and innovation in projects within the natural stone sector on an international level.

This year, the Basilica has been honoured in the national award category for manufacturing and supplying natural stone elements.

Xavier Martínez, the Basilica’s general director, was responsible for receiving the award alongside Carles Farràs, head of supplies and methods in the Temple's construction department.
