The Sagrada Família will support several charity causes by illuminating the Nativity façade on three occasions in 2025.
The first will be on 2 April for World Autism Awareness Day. The façade will be bathed in blue as part of the campaign led by Aprenem Autisme Associació to raise awareness of the needs of people with autism and their families.
The next will be on 9 October, for World Sight Day. This time the façade will also be blue to highlight the work of the Eyes of the World Foundation, which strives to prevent and treat preventable blindness in vulnerable areas.
On 22 October, for Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Awareness Day, the façade will be lit up in green, thanks to the collaboration of the Asociación Síndrome Phelan-McDermid.
Plus, the Sagrada Família will also take part in Earth Hour on 22 March. For one hour, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, the Nativity façade and the star on the tower of the Virgin Mary will go dark, joining this global movement to fight climate change.
With these actions, the Sagrada Família reaffirms its commitment to a society that is more solidary and just.
