The Sagrada Família joins the Earth Hour initiative - The Sagrada Família joins the Earth Hour initiative

The Sagrada Família took part in the global Earth Hour initiative by turning off the star atop the tower of the Virgin Mary, towers of the Evangelists and the Nativity and Passion façades on Saturday, 28 March from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This event, fostered by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) and celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, invites cities, companies, and citizens worldwide to switch off their lights for one hour to raise awareness about the fight against climate change and the need to protect the environment. Iconic buildings and monuments from around the world also took part.
