Once again this year, the Sagrada Família took part in the global Earth Hour initiative, switching off all its lights on Saturday 22 March from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

This event, promoted by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), encourages cities, companies and people around the world to switch off their lights for one hour to raise awareness of climate change and the need to protect the environment. Landmark buildings and monuments around the world also took part.
