This Thursday, 17 September, the Sagrada Família held a mass in memory of Reverend Lluís Bonet i Armengol, who was rector of the Basilica parish for 25 years. The ceremony, which took place in the crypt, paid tribute to his pastoral work and close ties to the Temple.

The Mass was presided over by Cardinal Joan Josep Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona and ex officio President of the Board of Trustees of the Sagrada Família Expiatory Temple Foundation, and concelebrated by Msgr David Abadías, Auxiliary Bishop of Barcelona. Also in attendance were Mr Esteve Camps, Executive President of the Board of Trustees of the Sagrada Família Expiatory Temple Foundation, several members of the Sagrada Família Board of Trustees, as well as family members, parishioners and friends.

Son of architect Lluís Bonet i Garí and brother of architect Jordi Bonet, Reverend Lluís Bonet i Armengol had a long career in the priesthood, characterised by his dedication, pastoral approach and service to the community.
