Solemn Mass for the Faithful Departed - Solemn Mass for the Faithful Departed

This Saturday, 31 October, a commemoration of the faithful departed was held at the Basilica in memory of those who have passed away over the past year. The Eucharist was presided over by Cardinal Joan Josep Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona and ex officio president of the Junta Constructora del Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família Foundation, and was attended by the Board of Trustees.

The Mass was celebrated in memory of the deceased and family members of the Sagrada Família’s staff, trustees, former trustees, protectors, benefactors, friends and collaborators. Prayers were also offered for the eternal rest of all of them, as well as for members of the parish’s Christian community who have passed away.
