This evening, Cardinal Joan Josep Omella i Omella, Archbishop of Barcelona, led the first solemn mass in memory of those who have passed this year. It was a service in memory of the deceased with ties to the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, with 285 people in attendance. The mass remembered the deceased and family members of workers, trustees, former trustees, protectors, benefactors, friends and collaborators of the Sagrada Família. The service included a prayer for the eternal rest of all these loved ones and the members of the parish congregation who have left us this year.

As announced, this solemn mass will now be held annually in November, around the time of All Saints’ Day.
