New edition of “Growing with the Sagrada Família” art workshop for seniors - New edition of “Growing with the Sagrada Família” art workshop for seniors

The Sagrada Família Department of Culture and Social/Educational Actions, in collaboration with twelve organisations from the neighbourhood, held another edition of its art workshop for seniors “Growing with the Sagrada Família”. The activity was part of the commemorations for International Day for Older Persons, which is 1 October.

The workshop was offered from 26 October to 3 November and featured a guided tour and a creative activity that focused on decorating a postcard made of watercolour paper. The activity invited participants to reflect on the passing of time and the value of memories.

When folded, the postcard shows a view of the city with the profile of the Sagrada Família, connecting artistic creativity and the urban environment in the city of Barcelona.

The initiative aims to highlight the role older people play in the community and recognise their contribution to society.
