This morning, a press conference was held at Palau Güell to present the Gaudí Year. The Minister of Culture, Sònia Hernández; the Commissioner of the Gaudí Year, Galdric Santana; the Mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita; the Mayor of Riudoms, Ricard Gili; the Manager of the Municipal Institute of Culture of Barcelona City Council, Oriol Martí; as well as the leaders of entities linked to Antoni Gaudí were in attendance: Andrés Andrés, from the crypt of the Colònia Güell; Óscar Andel, from the Bellesguard Tower; and Sebastián Escalas, representing the Cathedral of Mallorca. Esteve Camps, Executive Chairman, and Marta Otzet, the Sagrada Família’s Director of Culture and Socio-Educational Action, were in attendance.

The aim of this commemoration is to promote the figure of Gaudí from an artistic, scientific, academic, and innovative perspective.
