angle-left Second Sagrada Família Social Action Fund Call

The Junta Constructora del Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família is opening the second call for the Social Action Fund. In order to reach as many projects as possible, this second call will give out 50% more than last year, with a total of €3.5 million.

From 1 October, organisations have been able to register and check the rules for this second call and applications will be accepted from 29 October through 7 December 2024.

The first call awarded funds in 21 cities in the Archdiocese of Barcelona

The €2.3 million awarded through the first call went to organisations in 21 cities in the Archdiocese of Barcelona. By areas of impact, 27% of the projects that received funding are working to fight poverty and social exclusion, 25% in the field of health and personal autonomy, 23% focus on children, adolescents and young adults, 18% on the elderly, and 7% on migrants and refugees.

The SAF aims to jointly fund social projects and initiatives promoted by non-profit organisations that work within the Archdiocese of Barcelona and strive to help cover the social needs and demands of society today. The Sagrada Família Social Action Fund was established with a clear dedication to serving the most vulnerable individuals and groups within the Archdiocese of Barcelona. The main goal of the Social Action Fund is to help build a society that is more humane, more just and more solidary.
