angle-left Christmas Concert fills Basilica with carols

This Thursday December 14, the Basilica filled with music and Christmas spirit with the traditional Christmas Concert.

This year it featured choirs from Agrupació Cor Madrigal, with children’s choirs from all over Catalonia and choirs from the Sagrada Família neighbourhood. They were accompanied by Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès conducted by Pere Lluís Biosca with Joan Seguí on the organ. They performed a selection from Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicolas cantata, Rafael Ferrer i Fitó’s Una nit de nadal and El noi de la mare, arranged by Bernat Vivancos, plus the debut of the piece A Betlem me’n vull anar, composed by Antoni-Ros Marbà. During the performance, the audience was invited to sing along with some of these popular Christmas songs.

The Christmas Concert is part of the programme the Basilica has prepared to invite the people to experience the spirit of Christmas. Check out all the activities at https://sagradafamilia.org/inauguracio
