Japanese Ambassador to Spain Mr Takahiro Nakamae pays institutional visit to Basilica of the Sagrada Família

Archbishop of Barcelona Cardinal Joan Josep Omella i Omella and Executive Chairman of the Junta Constructora de la Sagrada Família Mr Esteve Camps welcomed the Japanese Ambassador to Spain Mr Takahiro Nakamae for an institutional visit to the Temple. The ambassador was accompanied by Mr Yasushi Sato, Japanese consul general in Barcelona; Mr Yoji Kitamura, counsellor for Economic Affairs; Mr Daisuke Yoshikawa, first secretary for Economic Affairs; Mr Shinichiro Miyaguchi, second secretary; and Mr Koichiro Morita, first secretary for Coordination, Protocol and Politics.

From the Sagrada Família, they were joined by Mr Xavier Martínez, general director; Mr Jordi Faulí, head architect; Ms Marta Otzet, director of Culture and Social/Educational Actions; and Ms Anna Roig, director of Communications.

After the visit, Head Architect Jordi Faulí gave them a guided tour of the Temple.
