The Sant Pacià University Athenaeum organised the international "Gaudí: Art, Beauty, Mystery" congress

This Friday, a concert honouring Antoni Gaudí was held in the crypt of the Basilica of the Sagrada Família. The event marked the closing of the international "Gaudí: Art, Beauty, Mystery" congress organsied by the Sant Pacià University Athenaeum from 25 to 27 February with the aim of delving into the artistic, spiritual, intellectual, and human dimensions of Gaudí, which, of course, was dominated by the presence of the Sagrada Família.
Throughout the congress, expert lectures were held in various fields and panel discussions aimed at helping to understand why Gaudí's work continues to challenge in the world of today. The opening keynote was delivered by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, Emeritus President of the Pontifical Council for Culture of the Vatican, with the lecture entitled "Faith, Beauty, Art". Also participating were Mr. Alejandro Seoane, architect of the technical office of the Junta Constructora de la Sagrada Família, Reverend Josep Maria Turull, rector of the parish and the Basilica, Ms. Chiara Curti, architect and specialist in Antoni Gaudí, Dr. Francesc Torralba, philosopher and theologian, Dr. Galdric Santana, commissioner of the Gaudí Year, and Dr. Armand Puig, priest and biblical scholar; to name but a few experts. The sessions invited attendees to reflect on beauty, mystery, and the profound meaning of creation as a path of shared knowledge and experience.
A concert was given by Japanese pianist Yoko Suzuki, who interpreted classical works by Catalan composers as well as two of her own compositions: "Hope" and "Source of Light". "Homage to Antoni Gaudí".
