angle-left Sagrada Família signs collaboration agreement with town of Gaià

The Basilica of the Sagrada Família and the Gaià City Council have signed a collaboration agreement to keep the Galera workshop in the town of Gaià, where some very important works for construction of the Temple are done.

Among other elements, this workshop has produced all the modules for the six central towers of the Sagrada Família. The signing of the contract took place on 24 July in the Batlló room at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família.

From the Gaià City Council, Mayor Núria Casanovas, Secretary Lleïr Pladevall and First Deputy Mayor Joan Coll attended the event. From the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, the participants were Executive Chairman of the Junta Constructora del Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família Mr. Esteve Camps and General Director of the Basilica of the Sagrada Família Xavier Martínez.

Renewing this agreement strengthens the ties between the Basilica and the town of Gaià, which for years has been home to one of the workshops creating highly important building elements for the Sagrada Família. This workshop will continue to play a significant role in the upcoming phases of construction, as it is expected to work on the pieces needed to complete the Glory façade.
