Voices of three European children’s choirs fill Sagrada Família in concert
Asset Publisher
This evening, the Basilica of the Sagrada Família hosted an international concert of European children’s choirs as part of a programme commemorating the hundredth anniversary of Antoni Gaudí’s death. The event also paid tribute to the thousandth anniversary of Montserrat, featuring three prestigious choir groups: Escolania de Montserrat, the Copenhagen Boys Choir (Denmark) and Tölzer Knabenchor of Bavaria (Germany).
During the concert, the three children’s choirs performed individually and all together, in a repertoire featuring pieces of European choral heritage. The voices of the young singers filled the Basilica with shared emotion, bringing together music, art and faith to celebrate culture.
Cardinal Joan Josep Omella Omella welcomed the attendees. The event also featured and address by Father Efrem, subprefect of Montserrat.
There will be commemorative events held all year. The programming is available on sagradafamilia2026.org.
